 The DeWitt Creativity Group is proud to announce that several members will be participating in the Equity in Education Challenge: Connecting Changemakers, Acclerating Change, a series of workshops that will be held December 8-17, 2020. The following is a description of what the Equity in Education Challenge entails:

This winter, Steelcase is inviting educators and leaders from across the globe into a learning community addressing challenges of equity and wellbeing in education. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased educational inequalities and highlighted the growing global crisis surrounding student and teacher wellbeing. Through four free virtual workshops in December, Steelcase is connecting innovative educators and community leaders as they explore, “How might we leverage this time of global disruption to reimagine equity and wellbeing in our teaching and learning environments?”

These interactive workshops will blend new wellbeing research with design thinking and equity tools — all while building a community focused on innovative approaches to equity in education. Additionally, you can submit an idea for a chance to join a two-month Fellowship Program designed to support your culture of innovation and advance your work focusing on equity and wellbeing. The Fellowship includes:

$5,000 to prototype your idea

Weekly support from Steelcase staff

Guest lectures from global thought leaders

Access to IDEO’s Creative Difference cultural assessment and tools
